About Word451

Our Mission

To provide effective and timely writing and marketing solutions for everyday needs.

THINK. CREATE. PERFECT.

Our Values & Beliefs

At Word451, we value meaningful relationships, quality, and integrity (and on occasion, the Oxford comma). We believe in hard work, excellent customer service, and providing a great product. We are solution-driven rather than problem-focused. Knowledge empowers us. We believe in people. Your voice plays a key role throughout our process: you are heard. We value our challenges, our strengths, and our abilities to help one another get to even better places. We believe in struggle and perseverance. And we believe we are all better served by open, honest, and thoughtful communication. These values and beliefs drive us, every day, to keep on keeping on.

About The Owner

My Promise to You

My goal is to be the very best at serving your writing, marketing, and business development needs. Everything I do, and every action I take, will be done with your goals in mind. I am only satisfied when you are.

I provide quality content, informed advice, and solution-driven strategies at a fair price, and I stand by that.

Street Creds

I graduated with a degree in public relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. According to my father, I graduated “hakuna malaude,” which is his adorable combination of hakuna matata and summa cum laude. I worked in higher education as a career counselor and admissions professional for many years. In 2007, I received my master’s degree from the University of Rochester in educational leadership, where I graduated at the top of my class (clearly a computer error). I worked as a freelance writer and blogger for Rochester, NY’s Democrat & Chronicle for many years before moving south. I also co-chair a non-profit called Dreams from Drake with my amazing sister, Jaime Pettit, named after my beautiful nephew, Drake Ross Pettit. We co-founded the foundation after his passing to support children and teens grieving the loss of a sibling or parent. I have always worked as a writing or marketing agent in some capacity, and I have a real passion for helping individuals and businesses grow. That’s why I launched Word451 in 2016 and haven’t looked back. I can’t tickle the ivories, bend it like Beckham, or paint like Picasso, so I write. And I love it. I find beauty in using words to help people – like you – see their thoughts and goals come to life.
